My Hands-Down Favourite Smoothie ~ Banana Chocolate

I likely drink a banana chocolate smoothie 7 out of 10 smoothies that I make. It’s my favourite raw vegan breakfast, by far.

  • 2 1/4 c Almond Milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 medjool date, pitted (optional)*
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 heaping tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1/4 tbsp matcha (optional)**
  • 3/4 tsp organic, alcohol free, vanilla

Add all ingredients to blender and blend on high for 4 minutes. Enjoy!

I should mention that all of my measurements in the recipes are approximate. I add ingredients by sight and feel. The portions listed are my best guess, but feel free to adjust them to your preferred taste.

*The medjool date is for sweetener. You can substitute your preferred sweetener or not sweeten at all.

**If you are not familiar with matcha, it is all the goodness of green tea leaves in powder form. Be aware that it has a very strong taste that can overtake your smoothie. Start with a very little bit and increase slowly as your taste buds get used to it.
